What it is:
A full day training for the entire sales staff split into two four-hour classes so the sales floor is always covered. The class focuses on appointment setting skills and helping the sales staff to value appointments, understand the difference between a phone-up and a floor-up, and to leave all callers with a positive impression of the dealership. "Sell the appointment, not the car."
What we do:
We focus on four primary steps for the call:
- Greeting: How to gain rapport with your caller more quickly, how to get names and phone numbers on more calls, and how to slow the caller down.
- Gaining Control: The caller has an agenda and it does not necessarily match with your sales team’s agenda. What are the best techniques for gaining control of a conversation and re-gaining control when a call is moving in the wrong direction.
- Vehicle Interview: Learning how to get a customer to not only tell you what features they want but WHY. The art of the interview as opposed to the interrogation. How to do a proper inventory expansion so the customer is no longer matching you price for price with a competitor on a single vehicle. A used car appointment setting technique that works almost every time.
- Appointment Setting: How to get more appointments and how to get more appointments that SHOW. Techniques for creating a VIP appointment. How to become a salesperson who works by appointment only.
We leave the dealership copies of phone scripts and a training methodology that they can use for training new hires and to conduct ongoing training to ensure that the methods and philosophy continue long after we leave.
We also analyze current inbound and outbound phone policies and make suggestions on how to maximize inbound opportunities and generate better outbound opportunities that will keep your sales force working on appointments each day, all week and year round.
